Character Spotlight - Lilo & Stitch

I've obviously gone off-course with Character of the Week posts. So today I bring you a character spotlight. This post is dedicated to Lilo and Stitch, but mostly Stitch. One of my most favorite Disney characters is this rambunctious guy. A little bit of good and a little bit of bad makes for the perfect and adorable Stitch. Currently you can only meet Stitch inside the Magic Kingdom over in Tomorrowland near the TTC People Mover and Astro Orbiter.

Character of the Week

It's been a few weeks since I last did one of these. So here is this weeks character:

In spirit of our upcoming trip to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party I chose Lotso! Unfortunately he does not smell like strawberries. Due to some people having an allergic reaction to the scent they had to discontinue using it. On a positive note, ask if you can squeeze his tail. It really squeeks! He's such a cutie! Too bad he's got a mean side! You can meet Lotso this year at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party over where Buzz Lightyear meets during the daytime.

Characters of the Week

In honor of tonight being the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom I thought this lovely couple would be the perfect fit for this weeks spotlight. Jack and Sally only visit during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. If you don't want to miss much time from the party I strongly recommend getting in line for them before 6 p.m. Their line usually closes early due to the popularity of them and will be multiple hours long.

Character Of The Week

Since I'm pretty pumped about the Unleash The Villains Event this upcoming Saturday I figured I would give this weeks Character Of The Week to my most favorite villainess, Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil!

This photo was taken at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in October 2012. Maleficent is a rare character that normally only meets at the Halloween Party. She's popped up at Epcot at International Gateway a few times and the movie version of Maleficent is scheduled to do meet and greets at the upcoming event Saturday.

Character of the Week

In over excitement for the Villains Unleashed event at Hollywood Studios coming up, this weeks character is Oogie Boogie. Oogie made his first ever Disney Parks appearance September 13, 2013. He first came out at the Reflections of Evil event and then he appeared for meet and greets at the Unleash the Villains Friday the 13th party as part of Limited Time Magic. A one day event celebrating Disney villains. I'm a huge fan of the villains and it's crazy when they actually bring them out. Oogie will be at the upcoming one on August 23rd, but unfortunately not for meet and greets. Maybe we'll see him at the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties coming up.

Character of the Week

Scoop Sanderson is a Main Street USA character who can be found on Main Street in the morning time around 9:45 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and usually again around 1 p.m. on select days. If you a pin trader than this is the guy to trade with. Normally has a few lanyards on with limited edition pins, artist proof pins and other great finds. Show him you know how to use your manners and you just may get something special from him.

Characters of the Week

This weeks characters of the week are Ariel and Prince Eric. Ariel is one of my husbands favorite characters to meet. He's got a thing for redheads. You can find Ariel in her fin form at the Magic Kingdom inside her grotto. It's right next to her ride in Fantasyland. Usually about a 30 to 45 minute wait which isn't honestly that bad. To find her in her human form however, you'll have to take a trip over to Epcot and have a meal reservation at Akershus in the Norway Pavillion. Prince Eric no longer comes out for meet and greets. Once in a blue moon you may be able to catch him out for a random meet in Epcot, but that is always random and never announced.

Character of the Week

Sorry I forgot to post yesterday! This weeks Character of the Week is Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. Normally found on the backside of Cinderella Castle inside the Magic Kingdom during morning and early afternoon.

Character of the Week

This weeks Character of the Week is none other than the handsome Gaston. Gaston is always a pleasure to meet, or so he would tell you. Completely full of himself and comical, he is always such a fun meet and greet. I remember waiting to meet him one time and a little girl walking by yelled to her family "LOOK! IT'S GASTON!" and he stopped with the person he was currently meeting with and replied "YES! LOOK AT ME!" and I died of laughter and giggles. You can normally find Gaston out near his tavern in Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland.

Characters of the Week

This weeks characters of the week are Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham, and Prince John. They can no longer be found in the parks for meet and greets. The photos below were taken in 2013 during both of the Long Lost Friends Week at the Magic Kingdom during the Limited Time Magic promotion. I've always loved the animated classic of Robin Hood and it was so much fun to meet them!

Characters of the Week

This weeks characters of the week are the two most popular ladies in all of the Kingdom, Anna and Elsa from Frozen. Since their debut and wildly rise of the popularity of the movie the lines to meet these two have gone into excess of at least 7 hours. Thankfully I haven't waited more than 30 minutes either time. Our first time was back in November of 2013. The girls had just debuted at the park, the movie hadn't been released yet and I was told by the character attendant at the front of the line that it was at least a 1 hour wait. I said what the heck, they're new and it's just going to get worse after the movie. So Amara and I hopped in line ready to wait an hour. After about 20 minutes we were at the threshold of their meet and greet. Two families in front uf us and then it was our turn. One thing I've learned about Disney is NEVER TRUST POSTED WAIT TIMES! We got in there, met with the two new mysterious girls who we new little about. Fast forward a few months later after the movie is released and you could watch mothers and fathers running from the entrance of Epcot to get to these girls. Kids in strollers, on shoulders, and in arms and parents full force running like this. It was quite entertaining to say the least, but little did they know by the time they got there at park opening, it was already a 2 and a half hour wait. No thanks to people who made dining reservations early in the morning and skipped them just to have a spot in line. Then Walt Disney World decides that for the safety of others they would move the duo over to Princess Fairytale Hall at the Magic Kingdom. Did that stop the runners? That's a big fat NOPE! Lines still exceeded multiple hours. I booked a fastpass for Amara and myself to go meet the ladies again on our most recent trip earlier this month. Now since then they have split the girls up  and meet with guests individually to try and make the line move faster. I suggest if you have a little one who just HAS to meet them get a fastpass if you are able. Wait times I believe are down to about 2 hours max, but at least it's not 5+. Just remember, is a multi-hour wait worth it on your vacation?
