Incoming #164

This postcard faetures the Parliament House viewed across Lake Burley Griffin in Australia. This postcard comes from Paul.

Stamps used (from left to right, top to bottom) are a 2007 Wildflowers "Phebalium whitei", a 2005 Plants "Sturt's Desert Pea - Swainsona formosa", a 2005 Plants "Swamp Daisy", a 2002 Flora and Fauna "Desert Star Flower - Calytrix Carinata", a pre-printed 22c stamp that reflects the image of the postcard, a 1994 Kangaroos and Koalas "Koalas on a branch", and finally a 1991 Christmas "Shepherd"

Incoming #85

Yesterday I received a small envelope from Australia filled with lots of little goodies. These kinds of parcels just make my day. This came from Viv in Australia. I got one beautiful postcard with a view of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.

The stamps used on the envelope were three International Post stamps. The 10c one is a 2007 Maria Island stamp. The one next to it is a 2014 stamp commemorating a Royal Visit. The final stamp is a 5c 2006 Platypus stamp.

Goodies included were lots of little stickers which always come in handy for decorating postcards.

A 2015 Western Union pocket calendar.

And my most favorite part... TONS of stamps including quite a few duplicates which will go into a secret squirrel envelope and the rest into my stash to be added to my Smash Book.

Outgoing Mail September 2

I was contacted by Postcrossing user mmekatiebug asking if I could send her best friends sons a postcard to get them pumped up for their first Walt Disney World trip. I happily obliged and asked her who their favorite characters are. They apparently LOVE Lightning McQueen and Mater so they'll be receiving this card with matching stamp and stickers. I hope they go nuts over it!

This card is being sent to Alabama.

Jo-Anne requested Christian faith based cards. She lives in Australia.

Kornelia requested cards with unusual views. This was pretty unusual to me since there aren't many places you can see 7 states from. This will be travelling to Poland.
