Incoming #52

Either this card got mailed out very late or it's a miracle it showed up. According to Postcrossing this postcard traveled a total of 273 days from Czech Republic. Holy moly that's a long time! I am glad I did receive it however. I always get so sad when a postcard expires. I always wonder where the postcard is or where it ended up or did it meet its fate by being shredded in a sorting machine.

The stamp used is from a 2011 Folk Architecture series featuring timber roof houses.

My apologies for the lack of updates lately. It's been pretty busy and hectic in The Smith Team headquarters. Between six day work weeks and long hours, it hasn't left much time for family time, let alone postcard and blogging time. I've got lots to share and update!

This postcard comes from Martina in Switzerland. It's a painting called Egyptian Night by Paul Klee. It was painted in the year 1915.

The stamp comes from a series called Wild Animals at the National Park and features a red deer buck. A beautiful wildlife stamp that I am happy to receive.
